Projects:
Here's just a small sample of what we do!
Growth in all things
We Truly believe in the POWER of D&D and Storytelling to bring people together, build communities, and develop social and life skills. These groups challenge stereotypes and help make critical thinking and leadership.
Overview of Services:
Neuro Diversity D&D: This group is designed to help with peer-to-peer engagement that builds up our community and is intended to uplift and build communities to share their voices.
Public Speaking: As someone with lived experience of growing up as an individual with mental illness and Neurodiversity, I have several upcoming events where I am speaking about Neurodiversity and how creative elements can help, as well as several forthcoming Mental Health Events. One, in particular, is the event "Finding Meaning After Experiencing Loss," where I will tell stories based on my life for several ages with different techniques.
Storytelling Events: I craft stories designed for individuals of all ages that are both sensory-friendly and tell unique and original stories.
Charity events: I actively seek to partner with charities to benefit underserved communities and help agencies get funding. In these events, I run stories that connect with various ages through Dungeons and Dragons, Interactive Storytelling, and Narrative Videos, and I am working on Developing Classes on multiple platforms.
Youth Gaming Events are sensory-friendly events designed to help youth with extra needs connect to peers and find community resources.
Family Mentorship: I help families better access how the community can serve their needs and provide insight into how to help their family members better meet their needs.
Youth Peer Engagement Events: These are designed to help foster active play between peers and help build strong community connections through friendships.
World Building Groups: I teach and mentor through World Building Groups designed to help develop creative thought processing and peer-to-peer relationships.
Author Events: I have attended various author events to help get community members to connect with authors in their community.
Consulting: I help community individuals learn how to better serve and empower underserved communities by providing quality education to those organizations.
My work as a Neuro Diversity Specialist and Storyteller includes 11+ years as an event facilitator. My training also includes being a youth and young adult mentor for nearly nine years. I have been trained in HIPAA, CPR, Baseline Job Coaching (ACRE Certified), Mental Health First Aid, Integrated Education for Youth, and as a Peer Specialist, among many others.
Education: I provide classes on various aspects of living with a diagnosis or having extra needs related to Neuro Diversity and Mental health Needs.
Camps and Creative Lectures: I am currently running several creative classes and camps designed around active play and how to utilize innovative tools to build real-life skills better.
I currently work with many organizations across Colorado as a storyteller, partner, and educator. My work at events involves telling stories in a sensory-friendly manner that honors the needs of the children attending and is based on empathy and person-first care.
